Good signing for Hamilton. Trotter, Palushaj, Willsie, Leblanc, Avtsin, Engqvist, Russell. Should be a pretty good top 6. Engqvist is probably better suited for the 3rd line spot though.

Gearing up for the cup... Calder cup. :sarcasm:

Gainey#1* 07-07-2011 11:09 AM

I guess we got our power for the bottom 2 lines?

Richiebottles 07-07-2011 11:10 AM

That is good with the departure of Boyd/DAWWEESS

De Montreal 07-07-2011 11:11 AM

He had a 20 goals 40 points season only four years ago in the NHL (yes you read that correctly). I guess he can be a good emergency callup if injuries happen.

I see it as a Darche-like signature. AHL veteran with potential to help a bit in the pros.

B - Wills!!!! Nice

Whoa, time flies.

Guess he benefited from the scoring boom in 05-06 after the lockout.

Seb 07-07-2011 11:15 AM

Le jeune Willsie

Darche 2.0 Version Anglais, maybe better since he has a better shot

http://forecaster.thehockeynews.com/...layer.cgi?1422

ASSETS: Is a responsible two-way player with a great work ethic. Has shown a nose for the net, especially at the AHL level.
FLAWS: Still needs to add strength if he intends to raise his game to another level. Has a great shot but doesn't produce enough with it.
CAREER POTENTIAL: Journeyman depth forward.

Right handed shot too...watch him surprise a lot of people...

Good veteran for Hamilton.

Wow, didn't know this guy was still around.

As some have said, he's essentially Darche 2.0

In Hamilton, maybe.

point a game player in the NHL last year....those kinda guys aren't easy to find.

overlords 07-07-2011 11:59 AM

This makes me feel better about not signing a guy like alexandre giroux.

Player 61 07-07-2011 12:10 PM

Main Street, Hamilton here we come, Go! Dogs!. Yes, Darche 2.0, the guy still manages to get called up every year though.

Damn, I came here just to post that. For once, I was able to pun in my 2nd language... ;)

P.S. Good signature for Hamilton. I thought the Bulldogs were missing a real offensive guy with the departure of Boyd and Dawes. With Willsie, Blunden, Trotter, Palushaj and Leblanc, it should be a pretty good team now. I guess we'll see next fall.

Watsatheo 07-07-2011 12:37 PM

This is kinda like the Darche signing from a couple years back. Wouldn't be surprised if he got a couple NHL stints when injuries (as usual) strike.

hey 07-07-2011 12:53 PM

how's his skating?

And his shooting percentage is literally off the chart!
