Artem Anisimov.

Pack Line as our 2nd line.

Fitzy 08-13-2011 12:22 PM

The 3rd and 4th line is where things start to get interesting.

Think we had a pretty good grasp on what the top 2 lines and d pairings will be (cept Wolski v Dubinsky, which was a toss up)

There will be the occasional Stepan vote, but this will be AA.

Anisimov

Based on offensive play which is what you want from your top 6...Stepan should be the guy. But b/c of chemistry with the pack line it might be Arty.

bettercallstaal 08-13-2011 01:39 PM

Anisimov this year and Stepan next year. I think Stepan will be more of an offensive player and Anisimov will be the more solid overall player.

I agree.

Stepan looks to have more offensive potential than Anisimov, but Anisimov looks to be the better well-rounded player.

Anisimov will surprise everyone this year.

RangerFan10 08-13-2011 04:32 PM

Stepan. I stand by the fact that I really doubt the Pack line will be or should be together at the start of the season. Dubi needs to be on the first line. Second line for me should be Wolski/Boyle-Stepan-Callahan

who exactly is he surprising when EVERYONE is saying he's going to surprise people?

Think Arty is the logical choice. I really hope he's been working on improving his face-offs, it's the one part of his game that is holding him back.

All the other teams hopefully?

Blueshirt Special 08-13-2011 06:11 PM

We don't really need a vote for 2nd RW do we?

asphyXy 08-13-2011 06:30 PM

The same people that say "Anisimov will surprise everyone" will be surprised if he elevates his game and plays above expectations. I feel that he will take his game to the next level this coming season, but it's not a guarantee. Thus, an Anisimov that puts up 60-70 points will be a "surprise", but a surprise that many people here feel is within his abilities.

Darrelle Lundqvist 08-13-2011 07:13 PM

Anisimov. I have high hopes for the Dubi-Artie-Cally second line.

Do you honestly think that he does not have potential to hit 60 points?

I'd say it happening next season is a very long shot. And it will be a long shot until he earns powerplay time, which I don't see happening in the foreseeable future either. I'd expect similar numbers to last season. Everyone's raving about the pack line, why is it that you think Anisimov will be more productive point wise with that line getting less ice time (they were effectively our first line for at least half the season)? I doubt that the matchups will all of a sudden be so much greater that they skyrocket to being 60-70 point players.

MacTruck 08-13-2011 11:11 PM

Guys, I'm going to skip 2nd line RW poll and go to the 3rd line since it's obvious who will win that one.

stasiewich 08-13-2011 11:12 PM

EC. end of story.

went with AA simply because of his linemates chemistry

the top two lines above yes but I see Boyle at wing on 3rd line instead of Zuke

Avery keeps his job unless he does something else dum..........Rupp 4th line C

not gonna complain if they waive Avery and give Zuke the spot though. All depends on camp. Avery is BR's buddy so think he has another life
