Richard Riot; 3/17/55

Doing an article on the Richard Riot on March 17, 1955 and would love to interview a person in attendance at that game.

Anyone have a relative that was in attendance? Feel free to contact me via HF.

Thanks!

Maybe you're doing this for school but I think you're going to find a lot more information through documentaries or similar pieces of actual journalism, because anyone old enough to remember would have to have been 10 at the time, meaning they are 66 today. I'm not saying 66 year olds have bad memories. Well, actually, yes I am. That, and anything they would say would just be things they remember from the news anyway:laugh:

I've done extensive research online, yes, but I'd love to add a few quotes from some of the elders that may have been in attendance.

A shot in the dark, no doubt, but any story that can be personalized is always better, IMO.

Write to Chris Chelios.

I don't think he was playing with the Habs at the time but Henri might offer a good perspective.

Have you watch Le Rocket ? There's commentary in there from the producer who may, or may not have witnessed it. So it's like a quote.

You could try to write to Dick Irvin. He was probably there.

I know that a lot of posters are young (can't remember the Habs winning a Stanley Cup, Saku Koivu favorite Montreal Canadien), however, are you so young that you consider someone who is 66 to be ancient? If something significant occurs when you are 10 years old, you will still be able to remember it when you are 66 years old, assuming that you are of average health.
