Predict Boston's next big signing

Having lost (or about to lose) some players that have been part of the B's core for a while one would expect MOC to make at least one big signing (Kovalev, Demitra, Kariya, etc...). Predict Boston's next big signing (or none if that's what you think).

My prediction: Paul Kariya

Broonzfanz 08-11-2004 06:45 PM

Temmu Selanne or Alexei Zhitnik

Re-signing Joe Thornton. I don't really expect any of the big name UFA's to sign in Boston.

No one. :banghead:

Is there a player in the league willing to play for minimum wage?

:joker: I am. If they sign me, Boston gets Crosby for sure, so I'd probably be helping the franchise more than any expensive FA. :shakehead

I agree. If you were a UFA would you want to sign in Boston after what's gone on there this offseason?

They will re-sign Joe Thornton and start the rebuilding process. I doubt Sergei Gonchar finnishes the year in Boston.

Martin Lapointe, 4 year 18 Million dollar contract extension. You know, to further Bergeron's development... :lol

KLu 08-11-2004 11:32 PM

They were going to sign Jim Campbell to play with Thorton, but unfortunately he signed with the Islanders...

Rather than resign Joe Thornton, they'll trade him away for prospects, and when the Habs nation makes fun of MOC for not signing anyone, he'll sign Yannic Perrault to a 3 year, $13.5 million deal.

...and then give Andy Delmore a 9 year 13.5 million per year contract...

Some posters are trying too hard to be funny. Why would he give anything over three mill for anyone when he said no to knuble for 2 million a year? Nice try ;)

Considering he didn't even play with Boston and they didn't even qualify him, not a chance. ;) (yes I noted the sarcasm)
