Prospects making the jump(Louis Leblanc)

Do you guys think he will make the Canadiens roster on opening night?

Bieber fever 09-01-2011 11:28 AM

no......

JuJu Mobb 09-01-2011 11:29 AM

He ain't ready, son.

Especially physically...

Habs 4 Life 09-01-2011 11:29 AM

Leblanc will not be with the Habs this year, he will be in Hamilton for at least a year or two. He is not NHL ready

Bill McNeal 09-01-2011 11:31 AM

If he does, either something really good happened or something really bad.

Tyler Durden 09-01-2011 11:33 AM

What about Aaron Palushaj??

Same for him, unless a player is moved or not ready to start the season. He will most probably be the 1st call up especially if it's for an offensive role

Richiebottles 09-01-2011 11:38 AM

He is not ready physically.

Tyler Durden 09-01-2011 11:39 AM

Ok so whats the starting lineup for the forwards going to look like?

Sandvich 09-01-2011 11:42 AM

Higgins 1.5 is not ready yet.

Something like this lines could change and we need a 4th line centerman

Gionta-Gomez-Patches
Cole-Pleks-Cammy
Kostitsyn-Eller-Desharnais
Moen-?-Darche and White

And you could add Engqvist or Blunden as the 13th forward

Tyler Durden 09-01-2011 11:48 AM

And from the young guns would you say in order for being called up first

Palushaj
Engqvist
Avtsin
Lefebvre
Kristo
Leblanc

The guy will play his last season at College.

Tyler Durden 09-01-2011 11:52 AM

So take Kristo off that list and is it pretty accurate? Will Blunden really be on the roster next year?

Would be better to give him the 13th forward spot than hurt the development of Palushaj by having him sit in the press box.

Well if the Habs don't sign a centerman before the start of the year that forward will most probably be Andreas Engqvist

The guy has a two-way contract. Training camp will tell the whole story about him. He's got size, a bit of NHL experience and he is supposed to be a fast skater.

Habs definitely needs a guy of his size on a bottom line or as the 13th forward.

They also got a vet player like Willsie, who is about the same as Darche.

Too bad they did not keep JT Wyman.... or Pouliot ;)

Avstin,Lefebvre,Kristo,Leblanc have no chance to be called up this year imo

it's gonna be Palushaj ,Engqvist,Blunden or we going to make a trade...

Leblanc is ahead of Avtsin and Lefebvre and you forgot Brock Trotter who is more ready than everybody on this list.

Lefebvre has no chance of being called up ever.

The guy will end up in the ECHL this year.... I don't understand why they signed up this guy...

My take, not including waiver eligibles (Trotter, Blunden, Willsie):

Engqvist
Palushaj
Fortier
Dumont
Conboy
Avtsyn
Leblanc

More like

Engqvist
Trotter
Palushaj
Blunden
Willsie
Leblanc

Unless Leblanc comes out of training camp on fire. He's probably 2 seasons away from NHL ice except as an injury call up unless something terrible happens to the depth chart or he improves far faster than expected.
