At first glance, I think Gabby pots more than 30. I see him in the 35-40 goal range this season with a full year with Richards as his center. Speaking of Richards, 81 points is a solid estimate but I bet the Rangers brass is looking for him to be an 85+ point player this season.

Generous point totals for Wolski and Zuccarello who don't even have guaranteed spots on the Rangers this fall.

Not much offense coming from the defense.

A good sophomore season from Stepan seems to be in the works, with his team leading +8 at the end of the regular season.

I also find it interesting that they couldn't predict point totals for Anisimov, Rupp, or Prust.

Beacon 09-13-2011 10:52 AM

They more or less projected last year's stats, with minor adjustments. BS.

nyrmessier011 09-13-2011 11:00 AM

Generous for Boyle,Wolski and Zuchs.. probably undervaluing Dubi/Gaborik/Richards line if they do in fact play together. I hope they are atleast.

skroob** 09-13-2011 11:20 AM

LOL zuc more than cally

skroob** 09-13-2011 11:23 AM

They also have Henrik with what will be a career second worse GAA, even with our D how having more experience than last season.

ak10r 09-13-2011 06:27 PM

I think this is what the ESPN football annalists come up with in the football off season…. ;)

Tanner Glass 09-13-2011 06:30 PM

Unless he gets injured, Gabby will have about as many points as Richards

That Stepan Guy 09-13-2011 06:59 PM

So Zucc becomes one of our best forwards and Gaborik barely improves?

Frozen North 09-13-2011 08:30 PM

Yeah, but Gabby's 30 goals come in only 16 games played. :D

racer90 09-13-2011 08:34 PM

if cally is healthy for whole season, i think he gets 30g

NYRangers16 09-13-2011 09:10 PM

Pure ******** they pulled these out of their *****. I mean they took season averages and adjusted based on their on feelings/biases/etc...Cally and Dubi as even players? Yea right. Gabby with only 30 goals? Not happening. I mean they took Cally and Gabby from last year and totally ignored that they both missed a chunk of time and just repeated the totals. A full yea of Gabby is 75-85 pts, a full year of Cally is over 60. But ESPN is garbage and really shouldn't be used as a source for anything. ****ing useless.

thanks for posting

but its a complete waste of time

ESPN hockey coverage has never been the same since the death of Tom Mees

With Hank playing 69 games and Marty playing 10, who's playing the other 3?

Roberto Luongo. Were loaning him from Vancouver, rumors say. Or at least that's what ESPN says :sarcasm:

Famous last LOL

Zucc will be close to a point per game this season. I know this, as I am from the future.

KreiMeARiver 09-14-2011 08:47 AM

ESPN.... HA!

If Gabby stays healthy, and only scores 30 goals...then we have a problem.

beastly115 09-14-2011 09:10 AM

lol what's up with MZA and Wolski's stats? Did they suddenly become 2nd liners?

Hockey Team 09-14-2011 11:13 PM

Fantasy stat "predictions" are basically last season's totals put into a math formula along with their career stats/age.

In other words. Worthless.

Silence Of The Plams 09-15-2011 05:20 AM

POOP. yeah I said it. This is BS. This is what those half retarded football analysts come up with. I'd expect this from larry brooks. How does Zuc suddenly turn into god and Callahan and Gaborik disappear? BOOOOOOOO

I just noticed that. Those #s are skewed due to injury last season.

Otherwise the 2 GP totals should be over 82, since there's always a couple games where both goalies play.

Such BS. The most stark example for me is the Avery goal total. You don't need to be a stats guru to know that he's going to score more than 6 goals next year.

SauceCheese91 09-15-2011 12:26 PM

ESPN should stick to basketball and football....this is pure garbage IMO.

Wayyyyyyy too much love for Wolski and Zuccs, not enough love for Calliswag.

mullichicken25 09-15-2011 01:51 PM

i'll **** my face if boyle is able to net 23 goals this season

that would be more than huge for this team
