Thats kind of like me with Jonathan Huberdeau.. I wish him all the best and hopes he makes the Panthers but man would I ever like to see him back with the SeaDogs for another season lol

Tuggy 09-30-2011 01:10 PM

Not really surprising. Gallagher *might* of got a look with a strong game last night but he failed in doing that. No big deal though as I feel that both of them showed they will be players in the NHL at some point.

Andy 09-30-2011 01:10 PM

Damn. I really thought Bournival deserved another game. He's pretty close.

Man we have so much depth in the juniors that I wish was playing in Hamilton right now.

Ellis
Beaulieu
Gallagher
Bournival

Our prospect pool is starting to get re-filled again after the last batch graduated. You can also add to the last Tinordi and Leblanc(yes I know ahl).

No superstar material there(aside maybe from Beaulieu), but we're going to have awesome depth in a couple of years.

Habs13 09-30-2011 01:10 PM

For the best, no need to rush them along. They both played well and showed what they can do - espeially Gallagher. The biggest suprise to me is how Enqvist and Palashaj are STILL in camp.

Et le But 09-30-2011 01:10 PM

Gallagher had a great preseason but this is is the right move. Not surprising.

RaMMuT 09-30-2011 01:12 PM

I really dont think Gallagher is NHL ready yet anyways, but I really liked his style of play. I'm sure in 2-3 years he's gonna be sick

If Desharnais wasn't a givaway machine yesterday Gallagher would probably have a better game...And Martin didn't even tried him on PP... No excuse but, as for yesterday I think he did not have the chance to prove anything at all after the first 20

Gary320 09-30-2011 01:16 PM

I really liked him, really would have loved to see him get ATLEAST a 9 game stint. I was optimistic it would happen before last night. But once he was getting ice time with DD and AK, I expected it.

He's not NHL ready, we know that.. what he showed was ALOT of hard work. Some smart plays, he really seemed to gel with Martins system.

Maybe he will get a start next year or the year after.. but this was really expected. Either way, he proved he should stay till the end of the camp. Good job Brendan.

Bullsmith 09-30-2011 01:26 PM

No shock here. Hope they're in for great seasons.

beowulf 09-30-2011 01:27 PM

Not surprised, best of luck to them this season and hope they come back stronger at next seasons camp.

Andros777 09-30-2011 01:30 PM

Team Canada is gonna have some really good Habs at this year's WJC's. Probably our best shot at having one of the top forwards on the team in a long long while.

hototogisu 09-30-2011 01:38 PM

No complaints.

(Also Nattinen was sent to the Bulldogs but that's no surprise)

Agalloch 09-30-2011 01:41 PM

I have watched four preseason games and I swear I have never seen Blunden with the puck just once.

Still some cuts will be made, thinking Palushaj and Diaz get cut.

Possibly Weber at even strength (blue line on the PP) as well. I'm also hoping for a waiver claim before opening day. Maybe Brule?

CrAzYNiNe 09-30-2011 01:45 PM

Was Gal offered a contract? Haven't heard anything as of yet.

Didn't watch the whole game then because he almost scored last night.

Habnot 09-30-2011 01:49 PM

Has Leblanc officially been sent to Hamilton?

NewHabsEra* 09-30-2011 01:50 PM

It was to expect.. Gallagher had a tougher time in the last 2 games faciing better opposition.. Great camp in the whole... keep getting better and refine your game in the def zone..
