KHL All-Star Team

I've been wondering about this and thought I would ask people in the know....

What players do you think would be on a potential 23-men KHL All-Star team with 12 forwards (4 each position), 6 D, 2 goalies + 3 extras this season? No rule where every team has to have a representative or anything like that, but it would be nice if at equal talent, a Russian / ex-Soviet / Euro would get a spot before a North American.

I'm really curious to see what this team would look like!

You can't be serious.:help:

maybe there are bigger names but stats are stats..

Stepanek, Murygin - both have great season so far. Murygin was on net in victiories against Ak Bars and Salavat Yulaev. Amur is no.1 on East now.

Maenpaa - Niskala
Osipov - Jalasvaara
Chudinov - Quint

ok, all are ofensive d men. Maybe no best choice to have only these types of players. I would not change 1st and 2nd line.

forwards: all are leaders of their teams. Maybe line Enlund - Lethära - Tarasenko is hyped, but I like them :D

guys,

Someone asked, I replied. Ok, Alex Radulov is great player, but he did not start good enough this season. Another guys did. Ok, it is not appropriate to select all start team after 10 games... and yes, it is my opinion, not objective.

Greeningfan14 10-02-2011 08:00 AM

Better to wait until mid-season

I agree with mr. pouskin here. Vorky I enjoy your insights but right here I think you might be off a bit. I hate Radulov, but he's gotta be there. Other names like Kovalev, Zherdev, Morozov, Parshin, Koltsov, Mozyakin etc.. are going to have to be there even though there stats may not show it yet. I think the goalies are off especially, Stepanek is a barely average if you ask me, he is playing in front of a great defense. He is known for letting in the softy. Murygin, not even the best goalie on his team. I think Lasak will show statistically that he is much better by the end of the year. I'm on the Biryukov fan bus right now, he is flat out winning tight games for his team, but skill wise is even more impressive, extremely quick. Otherwise there are a lot of good goalies hard to say when names are like Ersberg, Vehanen, Ramo, Kosechkin, Barulin, Kasutin, Koval, even imports Glass and Lalonde are around. I think the goaltending has drastically improved in the KHL since the league has began.

ok, guys, I agree. Maybe I did not understand exactly what starter of thread wanted.. my fault.

Looks good, I would throw Petrov, in there, Korobov from Minsk.
