See: Ottawa Gets Victory, Might Get Kolzig and Witt, Too

Ottawa is making a serious pitch for Kolzig and Witt, Washington's two best remaining players, according to league sources who wished to remain anonymous so as not to affect future dealings with the Capitals, and they could be packaged to the Senators before today's 3 p.m. trade deadline. Ottawa's charter flight is not scheduled to leave until after the deadline -- allowing time for the club to drop off or pick up additional players before heading to Calgary -- and the Senators are believed to be dangling defensemen Karel Rachunek and Anton Volchenkov, a younger forward -- either Antoine Vermette or Josh Langfeld -- and draft picks.
I doubt the Sens would trade Rachunek AND Volchenkov, but it would not surprise me to see Rachunek, Langfeld, 1st 04, and something, for Kolzig, Witt, and perhaps Mike Grier.
