Take it to the proshop. If you bought the skates at a proshop, you should have gotten a waranty, which covers the steel. The replacement steel is free in that case.

If you didn't get the skates with a warranty, take them to the pro shop anyways. They have the tools and the knowledge to fix the skates, and you won't be frustrated from trying to cram the 1/4" socket into the skate.
