How do you know what the new CBA will look like. It seems you know something that no one else does. It may end up that the total salary counts against the Rangers, but is just as easy to see it being that only the portion that the Rangers are responsible for would count against the Rangers.

Also, are we talking about a hard cap, or a luxury tax? Are teams going to be allowed to resign their own players to go over the cap like the NBA? No one knows what the specifics are going to be until the CBA is actually hammered out.
