First of all, do not heat!!! Especially it the first 48-72 hrs. ice is the way to go.Ice as often as possible (with breaks in between).Do not stretch for a couple of days and when you begin stretching , go easy.Start stregnthening with isometric exercises like squeezing and releasing a basketball between your knees (knees bent and legs extended also.) I suggest seeing a physio for deep massage and more advanced exercises.This injury can bug you for a long time if you don't take care of it properly.
