Agree to disagree on this topic. I'm a 3 handicap and I use standard, retail equipment. I have no trouble spinning my wedges and controlling the ball flight. I play with numerous scratch golfers and local pros on a regular basis and all of them use retail equipment as well.

IMO no amateur "needs" tour issue equipment. Wanting it, on the other hand, is a completely different topic. If I had $1500 to drop on a driver I'd probably get one just to have one. But I don't "need" one to improve my game. is offline   Reply With Quote
