Ribs prove this year that he can also score goals...something that Koivu have difficulty doing. It's also the first year that Ribeiro have lots of ice time. We can almost say that it's a rookie season for him. Koivu had something like 20 goals-22 passes on this rookie year. (and the hockey was way more open at this time)

Don't want to spend another debate who is better, but I will clarify some misleading stats you are trying to use. Koivu averages about 2 minutes 30 seconds more than Ribeiro, and a 1 minute 20 is short handed. Which basically equals 1 long shift more every game.

Also, when Koivu was a rookie, he played on the third line behind two veteran centres and didn't get much PP time.
