I like the penalty-fine idea, but it isn't clear who will own the jerseys. It may work to defray the cost. Of course, your most penalty-prone player may not like it!

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking of forking up the money myself and recover the cost over the next 2-3 years, but I'm engaged and I don't think my fiancé would go for it...
I'll talk to the guys and see what they think.
