Therien blames the ice for his mistakes

Bundy never used this one here, it's a riot.

Apparently, Dallas had a 3-0 lead going into the third period. They tied San Jose. Guess who was a -2? Guess who screwed up on the final goal?

Here's a quote from DFW.com...

"After the Stars won a faceoff in their own end, the puck eventually made its way toward retreating defenseman Chris Therien. But he misplayed the puck, and a charging Cheechoo collected it near the right wall and skated around Therien.

"It was on my stick, and it shot straight up," Therien said. "The ice cost us, but we can't have excuses like that at this point."

Cheechoo's shot from the deep right side went through limited traffic, and beat Turco to tie the score."

THE ICE COST US!!! Could you imagine if he said that here?? At least he's using new material out there.

In another article...

"Cheechoo had pounced on a loose puck after it hit new Stars defenseman Chris Therien's stick in front of goalie Marty Turco. When the puck bounced over his stick, Therien, who blamed bad ice, wasn't quick enough to react.

"It's a play that has to be made," Stars coach Dave Tippett said. "He had stepped up to make the play, it bounced behind him and he got caught flat-footed."

Thank god this clown is gone!
