Hello all, this is my first post (I have been reading these posts for about one month) and I hope my opinions will shed some light on this matter.
All of those who say that Labs sucks! are 100% correct. I do not make this claim based on just the few handful of games that he has played in the NHL, but yet on his abilities and determination. He is slow from side to side, and looks unprepared to play every game that I have seen from him. He is technically unsound, always overreacting and out of position and too slow to get back into position to try and stop the rebounds that he
gives up, therefore he is unfit for the NHL. These traits and abilities, or the lack thereof, exudes no confidence from him and therefore the team has no confidence in him.
Cloutier rightfully and deservedly earned the name "Mr. Beachball" for his performances. I would say that Labs has earned himself the name Flapjack. He is tall and lanky and does not look like he even has control over his own body, sad!
I think we can all agree from training camp and the pre-season the order of the goals by performance was Bernier, Aubin, Cloutier, LaBarbara. If the majority of you agree with me on this point, than I am confused
as to why only Cloutier is in Manchester, but having them both down there will not help us out in the long run either.
The Kings need to stop P*ssy footing around with the goalie situation and get things settled, so that the players won't have to wonder if they will have some consistency behind them all year long. Labs need to go to Manchester, maybe he can teach the goalies down there. Cloutier needs to be called up and hopefully someone will take him of off our hands. If not, then we need to buy him out and be rid of him.
Bernier and Aubin should be sharing the duties right now until one of them falters which hopefully won't happen. If it does then we need to sign a proven #1b goalie to help Bernier share some of the load. I don't think that Bernier should play more than half the games this year no matter how he performs.
