The age old addage that the playoffs are a totally different ball game should be inserted here.

Avs were out worked and had no defensive cohesiveness. Lalime had a relatively easy night in goal and made a couple of big stops when he needed to.

Ottawa has like lost four games in regulation at home all year, and they typically blow out teams when they do win at home. Some consideration should be given to the fact that dispite the Avs looking flat and chasing in their own end all night, they did stay in the game when he could have turned into an ugly blow out. If the Avs gain any sort of puck possesion game and gel defensively they make that a much closer game. In my opinion Montreal was the scarier of the two matchups on this EC tour so far.
