So respecting Messier means that you let him do whatever he wants and not check him? Granted the Pitt player DID cross-check Mess, however it was just a little love tap. One can make a case that it warranted a 2 minute penalty, but it certainly did not warrant a spear. An intent to injure penalty is no way to answer a harmless little cross-check to the small of the back.
hmm perhaps you are right but maybe the reason messier has had such a long and succesful career is because he protects himself. if lundmark had half of messiers smarts and heart we wouldn't be talking about how big of a bust he is. the fact that you don't respect mark messier as a player speaks volumes about you
