A lot of what I've read about pro stock gloves is that they are usually much more protective with plastic inserts and padding, but the palms are usually a lot thinner for better feel. That means the palms could wear through a lot quicker than regular gloves. BUT, if you get a deal on some pro stock gloves, even game worn, you can have them repalmed for under $50 or so and get a very protective glove with more durable palms.
