Pretty weird, but the Blues did the same with Sejna last year (who even scored a goal in his first game)

Maple Leafs had a somewhat similar situation when they signed Matt Stajan last year when he was eliminated form the OHL playoffs; sent him to St John's to play in the last regular season game (picked up an assist) and then played for the Leafs in the last regular season game (and got a goal). Who knows what will happen with Pck

Since his college season and hence his college hockey carreer is over, I guess he is free to turn pro now and already play tonight...

As for the AHL, I believe there is some rule which requires players to have been on the roster at a certain point in time to be eligible for the playoffs. The Baby Leafs now have a few guys up from the ECHL who as far as I know wouldn't be allowed to play if the Baby Leafs make the playoffs...
