I do think that a new goalie is possible as the Rangers fans and beat writers have seemingly had enough of Dunham. However, Dunham has one more year at a reasonable 3.6mil, something that we might have to live with.
I don't think this Open Tryout will be as severe as you might think (I might be reading to deep in your comments). True, the 3rd line, parts of the 2nd and 4th lines, and 4 of 6 dmen could be under 26. However, I hope that the Rangers sign other team-oriented, core, hard-working, cheaper, hungry veterans (not including Messier unless he understands and is
the ice time of a true 3rd liner).
Next years team could realistically aim for the 8th playoff spot based on the Islanders and Sabres of this year.
