A few comments on defense. You must be between the puck and pointman all the time. You have to do it facing the puck. Grow the eyes on the back of your head to watch the guy's movement and follow the invisible line between the puck and the Dman you guard while they BOTH move. The only time you face the defenseman is when he gets the puck. This is your fault, but it should never make you stop playing. In this case you should try to prevent the shot by either poking or blocking. Play the puck, not the guy. However, play the guy, not the puck if he attempts to pinch in. Remember, the good D will fake the shot, will make you to commit to poking (never lean, get low and extend!) or blocking and then will try to get around you.
