Regardless of how well Josh Green has been playing, there are some things to remember. He's shown flashes of playing well here and there. And still he is a perinial waiver fodder. At this point, one can say that he is clearly NOT top 2 line material. So the question is, can he play the bottom 2 lines as a wing for the Rangers next year? I certainly hope not. Keep in mind that heading into next year, we will have a good amount of players that can play the bottom 4 wings already. Ortmeyer and Murray for one. I certainly do not want Green getting playing time over them just becuase he is a Sather favorite. Plus there is the chance that we resign Matty and/or Simon. Personally, to me Green is not fit to carry Matty's jockstrap. There will be other players like Betts and Dom Moore. I just don't see what Green can offer on the bottom 2 lines that cannot already be filled w/ players that we either have or will have.
