Final Four Tournament Results March 27th

Midwest Regional Semi-Finals

Notre Dame v. Minnesota
Minnesota wins 5-2 to advance to today’s finals against Minnesota-Duluth. Mike Walsh (ND) assisted on both of Notre Dames goals.

Michigan State v. Minnesota-Duluth
Michigan State is defeated badly 5-0. Minnesota-Duluth advances to today’s final against Minnesota.


Northeast Regional Semi-Finals

New Hampshire v. Michigan
Michigan defeats New Hampshire 4-1 to advance to today’s final against Boston College who beat Niagara 5-2. Nathan Martz (UNH) scores New hampshire’s lone goaland as a senior is now eligible to be signed to a pro contract. Dwight Helminen (Michigan) did not have any points.

East Regional Finals

Wisconsin v. Maine
Maine wins 2-1 in OT to advance to the Final Four in Boston on April 8th. No points for Moore. FA senior Rene Bourque scores Wisconsin’s only goal.

West Regional Finals

Denver v. North Dakota
Denver upsets Zach Parise’s North Dakota Fighting Sioux 1-0 to advance to the Final Four against the winner of today’s Minnesota-Minnesota-Duluth matchup.

Major Junior Playoff Results March 27th

Kamloops @ Vancouver (Vancouver leads the series 3 games to 1)
Kamloops loses a tough one in OT 5-4 as Vancouver advances to the next round. Rich Kozak (Kamloops) didn’t score but is now eligible to sign ATO as his season is over.
