Recap Minnesota-Minnesota-Duluth

Great game won by the underdog (pun indended)Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 3-1. Minnesota will not be three peating as national champions.

I didn't notice Jake Taylor that often, which is sometimes good for a tough defensemen. I did notice him rubbing a guy out along the boards and pinning him there.

Couple of undrafted FA's that caught my attention:

Jon Waibel (Minnesota), Forward 5'11" 197lbs. - Good energy player, plays hard every shift, good Pk skills. Plays a solid defensive game.

Junior Lessard (UMD), Forward 6' 195lbs. - Showed some offensive skills but was shadowed all game. Could take his game to the NHL.

Jesse Unklesbay (UMD) Forward 5'9" 170 lbs. - Loved this kid, who isn't really a kid. He is 25, will be 26 in November. What a pest and jitterbug. Fast, loves to hit and appears to be having a great time as the old man of the team. Scored UMD's third goal, after making a great defensive play, flew down the ice, put a great move on the defenseman and scored.

I am watching the BC - Michigan game, so I will be coming back with more.
