nyr7 i agree and disagree
the draft is a complete crapshoot, someone with all the talent in the world may be a top ten pick but may not have the work ethic or the right frame of mind to ever put those skills to use in the nhl, now id like to say drafting a d-man in the first round guarantees he will be a top 2 d-man, but you know that isnt true at all, you even said it yourself tyutin slipped and we got him in the 2nd round and it was our gain

now i want to agree that selecting a d-man in the first round is what this team needs to do, in my first post i said barker is a guy i want but sather seems to be higher on carson from what some posters here have reported, and based on his pattern, he doesnt pick d-men in the first round

if you want to disagree thats fine, but lets just leave it at agreeing to disagree
