If your speaking about Ellis....his contract ends this year. Pekka Rinne has already signed for a one way contract only next either Pekka will be traded or Ellis will be allowed to walk.

Even if they are planning to allow Ellis to walk, he wouldn't fetch anything of value to trade now. In other words, he is much more valuable to this team as a trusted backup by his teamates than anything he could fetch on the trade market with his very limited resume and lack of pedigree.

If you are talking about Mason, then you have no idea how NHL contracts work or you didn't know his is signed with us through 2010.
