There is obviously a transition in the feel of ice and a puck to roller and a puck, but the more time you spend skating and handling a puck the better you will be.
Work on fundamentals like strengthening your stride and improving your quickness but most importantly keeping your head up to handle.
Even skating on the street with a tennis ball will do a great deal to improve your ice game. Work less on the technique of handling the puck as it is a lot different on ice, work mainly on handling with your head up.
Also, shooting a puck on any surface will improve your shot.
