I think upside needs to be heavily weighed, though we shouldn't just take a flyer on a guy with a minimal chance of reaching that upside. If our guys think Schremp is really unlikely to reach his potential, I wouldn't be at all upset at passing on him.

Basically, I trust the judgment of the people who know more than me. I haven't seen a single one of these prospects play. I'm just saying that the Rangers need to consider upside probably more than some other organizations would. But it's not to say that we should pass up on a surefire 2nd liner with "Captain" and PK-specialist written all over him (if such a thing exists) to take a guy who probably won't make the show.
