Minus 33 In L.A.

When Mike Keenan headed for the dressing room after this morning's skate, he was shaking his head.

"Bad ice. Wow."

Which wasn't the only tidbit the Flames coach shared with the media. Because of D Adrian Aucoin's "lower-body" injury -- yes, that game is already starting -- D Rhett Warrener draws in tonight.

Warrener hasn't played since suffering a high-ankle sprain while trying to hit LW Ryan Smyth in Denver. That was Nov. 24.

"(Warrener) is ready to play," said Keenan. "It's a good thing we have the depth to cover off an injury to Adrian. It's going to be good for (Warrener) because he's been out a long time. He might have to get himself energized to get with the pace of the game right now because ... to miss that many weeks and jump back into it? But he'll be ready -- he's a professional."

Which means -- maybe -- that LW Wayne Primeau (along with LW Marcus Nilson) will be a healthy scratch again, with Boyd going back to work.
