Everyone has one side that's stronger initially. I assume hockey players eventually get so both sides feel the same. (I've only been playing off and on for not quite two years, so I can *do* both sides but the left is much stronger).

What I did to get so I could do the weaker side was to do a one-foot snowplow stop (keeping my left foot pointing straight ahead and making a skid with my right foot going forward and to the side) and gradually starting to make my left foot turn and skid with the right. It's taken awhile, and I still can't do it with any speed, but my goal is to be able to do it at 50% speed by March when I start playing again.
