What would you guys think about trading a pick or two for next year? I think that in our position, we can do it. I think if the player we want isn't there at #6, it isn't worth making a pick we don't want to make because quite simply we can't screw up these next 2 drafts.

But, obviously we aren't going to be a contender for atleast a year or 2, so having 2 first rounders next year will help us just as much as this year. We could make the deal with a team like Washington, Columbus or Chicago who may see a player they really like and go for it with 2 top 10 picks this year.

And as for us we still have Toronto's pick, which if we do our HW we could easily get a solid player with. We also have enough 2nd rounders to trade up from that Toronto pick, so if we really wanted we could still have a top 15 pick. And as for next year we will have 2 picks that would probably be in the lottery again, giving us a very good chance to land Crosby either through winning the lottery or trading up. Or if we don't go for Crosby, we would still likely have 2 top 6-8 picks.
