The point is everyone including Derek Jeter(when was struggling big time 2-3 years ago)is fair game to get booed. If they booed Jeter a homegrown Yankee with 4 rings, why can't they boo Jagr? They booed Mark Messier.Patrick Ewing.Phil Simms.Mike Richter.
Go to a game, watch his piss poor effort, his body language and come tell us why Jagr can't get booed
You compared it to the Messier situation.....I say it doesn't compare. I never said he couldn't be booed, but if you want to use the fact that an always meddling Messier was booed, so you can boo Jagr, its the wrong justification. Jagr hasn't made personnel DEMANDS and run the coach out of town. Thats my point.....which you obviously missed! I also agreed that his play has been sub par, but I don't think age or skill has anything to do with it. Its more along the lines of a player trying to adjust to a different system that is really totally contrary to his style of play. Thats a failure of the organization more than failure of Jagr. You don't ask one of the most prolific offensive players of his generation to suddenly change his style toward the end of his career and expect not to see some struggling .
