The "excuse" for Briere is he hasn't had Gagne, but the Flyers are getting scoring from all over and it seems to come from guys playing with Richards or just after they were moved from his line. The lines have been rotated constantly, so no excuses for Briere, and Richards has 5 more points than Briere, plus he's +12 to Briere's -11, same goals and assists on the PP.

Briere is on a Point/Game pace, but largely without impact. It is the quietest 43 points I've ever seen. He scored a goal recently and I couldn't remember the last time he did, or even an assist that made the difference.

Don't know if the Flyers ever had a chance at Gomez, but he may be the best of that crop. Maybe by far if Gagne doesn't actually cure what ails Briere.
