The NHL has had a number of instances just like this throughout the season and have made examples of them. If Kovalchuk doesnt get at least 1 game, then its because hes a great player and is getting the benefit of the doubt which is wrong.

I think he deserves one game, no more no less.
Yeah leaving his feet is the biggest thing IMO. The hit without jumping is a game misconduct. The jump shows a definite intent to injure.
