Center for these games as compared to the old Forum. I have been living in Vancouver for 12 years and have never attended a game in the new building. But I remember the feeling that I got attending the games in the old Forum - it was truly electric. Whether it was pre-season, regular season or the playoffs it was always special when Boston came to town. I remember that there was even a section where most of the Bruin fans would sit. Is there still a buzz in the new building or has the intensity gone down a little?
Totally different. Of course, there is still and intensity and a buzz in the new building, and it is still special to play Boston. But it's more artificial and gimmicky and while it rattles your eardrums, it doesn't make your spirit shiver deep down inside the way the old forum could. It's a 21st century cookie-cutter sports entertainment facility that caters to the lowest common denominator, no different than 20 other such buildings in the NHL. Basically.
