Folks- it's easy. You have to be 20 by Dec. 31 of the season in question to qualify for the AHL. That means Jake isn't AHL eligible until the 2009/2010 season.

Yup. Had he been drafted out of Europe that wouldn't be the case, but because he was playing in Halifax during his draft year, it is.
