It was looking good for the Pioneers this year with a strong start and a chance to to get to the Frozen Four in their own back yard and now this. Denver still has plenty of firepower but this is a blow to their season. This is also getting to be a tiresome trend with blue-chip players bailing mid-season. It's bad enough they leave after a year or so, but they should at least honor their commitment until the end of a playing year.
