I still wonder if part of it was that Feaster didn't want to do business with the jackets again for such a high profile player??

I know he wanted a goalie, but if he didn't even give Howson a chance to offer more, he's not a real smart guy...

They easily could've rode out the season with Holmqvist between the pipes and went for a goalie in the offseason, they weren't going to the playoffs this season anyways. Tampa also has an extremely weak prospect cupboard in forwards, If Howson could've been talked out getting rid of one more prospect for Richards, Feaster would've looked like a genius.

What is Helenius or Ramo comes in and tears it up next preseason? Then you just traded a first line center in his prime and a young backup NHL goaltender for a backup NHL goaltender, a shootout specialist, a 3rd line grinder in his twilight years and a 4th round pick... ouch...
