And as I've pointed out, only one of those was drafted in the last ten years. Two of them, including the "bona fide star" were high first round picks. It's not like they're were "found".
Look, I'm not trying to dog the guy. I just think people have an unrealistic assessment of how good he is. His supposed specialty, unearthing late-round European players who turn into bona fide assets, has yielded exactly one full-time NHL player drafted in the last ten years. Sure, one or more of the half-dozen we picked up in the last few years may really turn out to be something, but the track record between 4 and 10 years ago (where we can honestly and reliable assess draft picks) is hardly awe-inspiring.
