I don't understand what the big deal is about having a 30 goal scorer. The Red Wings and the Devils have proven one thing easily, the ability to get goals from every single line and play responsible defense far exceeds anything one diminsional goal scores can bring to the table. To keep our depth we need solid two-way play from everyone, Legwand, Hartnell, Walker, Hall, Erat, Orszagh, are all proving they can do that now.

the 1997-98 Detroit Red Wings won the cup, the highest goal scorer they had on that team had 28 goals. Of the three cup winning Devils teams only once did they have a 30 goal scorer, in 99 Elias had 35 goals, last year's team didn't have any but Elias again had the highest with 28.
