-This way LA gets the first line center they so badly need and they get a huge goal scorer in Murray.
-Saint Louis sheds a lot of salary giving them space to start rebulding ala San Jose. They can also use Stumpel and Rolston as their top 2 centers while Hemingway and Cajanek get ready to take the spotlight.
-Toronto gets a replacement (and a good one too) for Niuwendyk.
I can totally see LA making it to the playoffs with Weight and Murray in their lineup.
I like the idea of Weight going to LA. But I don't think they will be able to get both Stumpel or Rolston for him (infact I am pretty sure they wouldn't be able to, nor would want both). Stumpel can stay and why would St. Louis not sign Rolston instead of trading for him (a little to complex if you ask me).
I could completely see the Toronto trade. St. Louis could use a point man on the PP. Antropov is a perimeter player but is still young, so who really knows, maybe the Blues get lucky and he develops, if not, then they get rid of $$$.
If the Blues can trade Weight to LA (Weight has to agree to lift the NTC), then I would like to see something like this:
Weight and the 17 pic in 04 to LA for 11th pick in 04, Petr Kanko, and Brian Boyles. I would love to get Brown, but noway does LA give him up. (I still think LA will beable to get either Schwatz(sp) or Montoya at the 17th).
