On the other hand, the Isles have more NHL ready prospects. Caldwell, Gervais, Bergenheim, Dubliewicz, Hunter, Weinhandl and Papineau are all close to being impact players in the NHL. While players like Jessiman and Lundqvist (to name a few) undoubtedly have better upside and will probably become better players, they are not at a stage where they could come in and help the team.

As for the Rangers being top 5, I would disagree unless they come away with Ovechkin, Malkin or Olesz without giving up any prospects. They are probably top 15 right now, and should be top 10 if they have a strong draft.
Papineau an impact player?
Dubliwicz an impact player?
Caldwell an impact player?

I don't even see Weinhandl or Bergenheim as anything more than 3rd liners down the road. The Isles need to draft better and soon. Nilsson might be their big hope eventually... And that's not saying much.

edit :: that's not a shot at you or written in a bad light. I just really disagree with your assumptions on those few players...
