Personally I always feel that training camp could and should make the difference in that decision. Actually it should go back to prospect camp and even the World Championship. When considering Lundqvist and Pock, it would be a mistake not to consider how they are playing right now. At the same time you can't put too much weight on a prospects showing over a week or two. It should be cumulative. But if for example we were to draft Ladd and he had a great prospect and a great training camp and he impressed the coaching staff in general, I don't see any reason why he couldn't be given a reasonable chance to prove himself at the NHL level. Especially in the current environment. Let's face it, the pressure on the kid wouldn't be nearly as high in this upcoming season as it might be in previous seasons.
