Is Washington interested in Barker? Absolutely. Yet the price for the #3 or #4 pick is going to be quite high, far higher than Fedotenko for Pitkanen, and it is not a price that Washington will be prepared to pay. They will most likely either pick at their assigned spots, or perhaps move into the #10-#15 range with some package involving their later first and second-round picks. A second top-five pick, however, is going to be very difficult to swing. My guess is that the price will be prohibitive and that the Caps will pass.
