I still think the Preds largely control their own destiny.

If the Preds win out, (getting to 93 points and 42 wins) then:
We eliminate the Oilers
We win out over Vancouver UNLESS the Nucks also win all 3 remaining games (a tie and 2 wins will not do it for the Nucks as we maintain the tie breaker). They play Avs, Oilers and Flames.

I don't think the Nucks will win all 3 but even if they do we aren't done because:

IF Vancouver does win all 3 games, then they have pinned another loss on the Flames. That combined with a loss by the Flames to either the Oilers or Wild would leave us ahead of the Flames (even an OT loss wouldn't help them, although 2 OT losses would).

IF Vancouver does win all 3 games, then they also pin another loss on the Avs. If the Wild can also pin a loss on the Avs, then we finish ahead of the Avs (although 2 OT losses would likely put them ahead of us on the GF/GA tiebreaker).

Even if the Preds only win 2 of 3, they eliminate the Oilers and get in if the Nucks go 1-2 or the Flames melt down completely-- not impossible but certainly a longer shot. There also would be a chance in hell of catching the Avs if our loss was in OT.
