If either Q or Martin were hired as the new Rangers coach I would be very happy.
I don't understand why some people are doubting whether or not either of the two are considering taking this job if offered?
Granted the new coach would have to work with Sather over their shoulder, but the Rangers are in fact "rebuilding", not reloading with old expensive all-stars. I would think calling the Garden your home ice, New York City your home, hopefully playing a huge role with player devlopment/drafting, knowing that the Ranger farm system isn't that depleted anymore (some young-exciting up and coming NHL'ers to build around... Balej, Tyutin, Prucha,Lundqvuist, Kondratiev, oh yeah and Jessiman) and having the resources that the Rangers have would definitely get my attention as a professional coach.
Some factors I would consider:
1-Life with Sather.
2-Life in New York.
3-Pressure? Not for the next two-seasons. Unless no signs of improvement are shown.
What if it came down to a choice of Q or Martin?
Who would you take?
