I was at the match. great atmosphere great arena great occasion.

USA played a fantastic game and were superior to everything the Czechs had on offer. The Czechs tried the Canadian style of selection, getting the stars and it backfired on them big time.

Beating the Canadians 6-2 in a nonconsequential game led them to false sense of security. The American were superior although the goals scored by the Americans
were really gifts from the Czechs. the tying goal was deflected into the net by
Hlavac trying to skate back from some 30 ft out....

Jagr was the best Czech player. All experts here are agreed that the Czech missed some muscle and blue collar guys. They needed a Varada, Vasicek, Erat, Rachunek.
Noone here understands why Modry was cut from the squad

US had great D with Hall Gill and Aaron Miller (playing man2man cover on Jagr)
Ty Conklin was awesome as were Richard Park, Jeff Halpern. great team effort.
