2-3 years from now, Jagr's going to be 33-34 years old. He's going to be losing some of his quickness and agility. He's going to be scoring less. Bertuzzi will be younger, and still with a few years at peak performance left for the 'new' Ranger squad.
Meanwhile Vancouver has less to worry about. They are much more in a 'win now' than win later mode . . . and the 1st round pick helps hedge their bets anyways.
Eh, it's not for everyone. Personally I would have thought the anti-Jagr bias on most of these boards would have people calling for my scalp by now . . .
Jagr was only drafted 2 years before Bertuzzi, that's not a huge difference.
